The fire in LA is an unbelievable tragedy. it looks like the whole city may burn down with only a few percent controlled in almost a week. They're going to lose a lot more homes and it's a tragedy for four main reasons:
1 Lack of brush clearing for years
2 No water to fight fires
3 fire hydrants not working and
4. Taking away 17 million in the mayor's budget for firefighting and another 100 million by Gavin Newsom from the stste budget for fire fighting
- not too mention potential arsonists helping out or even starting the whole thing. But again it would have never gotten to this point without any incompetent inept California state bureaucratic government
Yes, it's largely about DEI hiring (which they used to call affirmative action ) and this has been going on for 50 years as the brush built up for excellent kindling for such fires. Why is it only California that's had these major fires while fires have been going down in other States like California . It has been more incompetence you can't blame on just climate change and the Santa Ana winds because they've always been around and climate hasn't changed that much in 10 or 20 years.
